Actuation Technology for Humanoid Robot Hands
Dot develops robotic hands and tactile interfaces using precision actuation technology.

Robot hands are composed of four core technologies.
Robotic hands are composed of four core technologies: precision actuation, transmission mechanisms, sensing, and control. These elements work together seamlessly to enable stable grasping and precise manipulation of objects. Dot's fingertip actuation technology delivers fine, finger-level control, allowing for delicate handling and a secure grip even in complex environments.

Core Technology: Dot Actuator
The quality of a robot begins with details that are not easily visible. Dot’s core actuation technology enables precise motion in humanoid robots.
A New Paradigm in Gripping, Perfected by Ultra-Thin Actuators and Edge AI
Heavy computational loads, traditionally concentrated in centralized vision AI are innovatively distributed across Dot’s intelligent actuator array. Each actuator independently senses surface contours in real time, dynamically forming a customized gripping surface and securely latching in place—allowing even irregularly shaped objects to be grasped quickly and with precision.
Zero-Power Holding Mechanism
Once positioned, it maintains its state without additional power, reducing heat and extending battery life.
A Stable Grip with Both Softness and Strength
Gently handles objects while delivering the strength needed to support them securely.

Built by Engineers and Researchers
The Dot Robotics Actuator Lab is a collaborative space where engineers and researchers push the boundaries between robotic actuation and tactile technology. We are open to diverse partnerships to help shape the future together.
